Man hospitalized in garage shooting

Police in San Bruno are investigating a shooting that hospitalized a Redwood City man Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1125 Cherry Ave. at about 4:25 p.m., police said.

Upon arriving, the officers found several people treating a man who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the garage of the home, according to police.

The victim, 29, was transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, but his condition is unknown, police said.

Witnesses told police they heard shots coming from inside the garage and saw a white car leaving the area immediately following the shooting, police said.

There is no known motive for the shooting, but investigators believe the man who was shot was targeted, police said.
