Alleged teen peeper plea delayed, seeking new attorney
January 03, 2013, 05:00 AM Daily Journal Staff Report

An 18-year-old Foster City man accused of peeping into girls’ bedrooms and masturbating on a teen girl as she slept delayed entering a plea Wednesday so he can find a new attorney, said District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe.

Justin Scott Shing is charged with residential burglary, peeping, sexual battery and possession of burglary tools. Recently, Gov. Jerry Brown made judge appointments, including Shing’s attorney Brendan P. Conroy, said Wagstaffe. On Wednesday, Shing requested to delay entering a plea to allow time to find a new attorney. Shing is due back in court to enter a plea Jan. 18.

Foster City police arrested Shing Aug. 25 after the father of a 9-year-old girl reported finding him inside the Matsonia Drive home at 3 a.m. staring at the girl’s empty bed while on his hands and knees. The father grabbed the man, later identified as Shing, and called police.

Authorities say Shing also looked in the window of a 17-year-old neighbor girl at 2 a.m. in May. On Aug. 14, he allegedly entered the same girl’s bedroom after midnight as she slept, pulled back her comforter and masturbated.

Foster City police reported Shing admitted entering the homes.

Shing is free from custody on a $100,000 bail bond.

The San Francisco 49ers have been selected to host Super Bowl L in 2016, what do you think?

I'm elated
I'm excited but worry about traffic
It will be even better if the 49ers are in that Super Bowl and win
It will be a mess
