Mentoring for youth
January 10, 2011, 03:30 AM

Vicki Bynum,  Building Futures coordinator and mentor,  and Sarah Scott addressed the Rotary Club of Foster City. The Building Futures Mentoring Program was established to provide youth an opportunity to grow through a positive relationship with an adult mentor. The program, established in early 1990s, through the YMCA is by referral and free to youths from 6-18 years of age. Mentors receive 15 hours of training and commit to mentor a youth once a week for one year.
