A San Carlos nail salon is closed after a woman there was arrested for offering sexual massages in addition to the common manicure, according to police.

Jenny Tran, 49, of San Jose, was arrested Monday on charges of prostitution and possession of cocaine while she was working at Jessica Paris Professional Nail Care, located at 1575 Laurel St.

San Carlos police began its prostitution investigation after it received a report that massages were being offered at the salon, in violation of the city-issued use permit, according to police.

An undercover police officer entered the business as part of the investigation and was offered a sex act in exchange for money. Tran was immediately arrested for prostitution and was then found to be in possession of a significant amount of cocaine, according to police.

Tran was booked into the San Mateo County Jail and is currently being held on $10,000 bail.

A fictitious business name application for the salon was filed with the San Mateo County Clerk’s Office in 2006 to a Kim Thuy Nguyen.
